Parking once we found the correct dock was tricky for some reason they had most of their free parking lots blocked off that day. We took this cruise as an anniversary event and day trip. Also I am handicapped and they brought a wheelchair to the car to pick me up, take me to the boat, and back to the car. I will never take a tour with them again due to this fact. My grandson sat at our side the entire time, he was the most well behaved child on board. I was appalled!!!! The people working there did nothing. One kid came up behind me, I was sitting at a table, and was screaming in my ear and banging on the window to get others kids attention outside of the window. The boat was NOT crowded, there was plenty of room for everyone. So many parents did not supervise their children and let them have the run of the ship. There was a group on board that got a boxed lunch and I think it would have been nice to offer that option, seeing it is a 2 1/2 hour tour, to anyone buying tickets in advance.

There was a full bar on the ship, but only snacks and hot dogs to eat. This was very interesting, went through an actual working lock and dam. However, maybe it was just the announcer we had that night, but the commentary wasn't what I expected for a site seeing tour.Ĭame on vacation with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. Again, over all, I thought the boat ride was a fun way to see the city.

I felt like I paid to be on a site seeing tour and only got half of what I paid for as the commentary stopped half way through and wasn't even all that fascinating any way. He added a few comments after that, but that was it. Also, when we were on the last leg of the tour, where we sailed back from the Allegheny River into the Ohio River and then returned back to the dock (about 30 minutes) he said that was the end of the tour and he was just going to play music. I was expecting more little known facts or funny stories, etc. He would point out buildings and give very little information on them. He kept getting interrupted mid sentence and we'd all have to wait for him to finish what he was saying. There were concessions, but we had just eaten dinner, so I didn't even check out the prices or anything. The narrator over head would explain certain buildings around us as we cruised all three rivers. My husband and I were able to sit outside on the back of the boat. Over all, I would say the ride was a unique way to spend the evening. I took my husband on a one hour site seeing tour in the evening for our anniversary. It's great way to kick back with your dinner, drink, music and relax for 3 hours and enjoy Pittsburgh. The VIEW is beautiful and this cruise is worth doing at least once. A little costly? Maybe? When the band first began to play we thought it was going to be a long night but it did pick up and they were not bad.they played some pretty good music and YES we did get to dance. Drinks was not included and neither is the souvenir picture that is an extra $20 if you choose to buy it. We both got the souvenir glass and the non alcoholic drink got free refills with the glass. The cost was $100 for the 2 of us and another $20 for our drinks one was alcoholic and one non alcoholic. The food is ok not something I would normally order off a menu in a restaurant but I did eat and it was pretty good. The food consisted of salad, broccoli/cauliflower salad, pasta salad, roll, green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, talipia and chicken. It was very organized and went very fast and smooth for everyone going through the lines. One of my complaints would be we could not really understand what he was saying but this did not hinder our enjoying the view! Dinner is buffet style. They start boarding the boat at 5:30 and everyone must be on by 6:30.by 6:45 we were heading out and the Captain gives you a tour as you sight see the beautiful rivers of Pittsburgh. My husband and I took the Captains dinner and dance cruise aboard the Majestic on Oct.
